Bibliometrics

The shape of the lab's work

A descriptive look at the lab's publications since 2000: how output has grown, the topics and methods the papers cover, and who we write them with. Figures are recomputed from the publications database on every build, so they reflect the bibliography as it stands today. Every bar, band and co-author is clickable and opens the matching papers in a new tab.

Computing…

Notes. Topic, approach and article-type tags were assigned by a language model from the full text of each paper and checked by hand where flagged (see how tagging works); a paper can carry several topic and approach tags, so the stacked charts count tags, not papers. Author names are surname plus initials as they appear on the papers, so two people who share a name are merged and one person whose initials vary is split. Counts for the current year are partial. Citation counts in the most-cited table come from OpenAlex and are refreshed with each build; papers that OpenAlex has not indexed do not appear in that table, and counts for recent papers are still growing.
